Everyone wants peace but many do not have it. For some, peace is elusive due to mistakes in our past. For others, maybe peace escapes them due to a death or a divorce. For others, may be they are always trying to prove themselves and they are seldom at peace.
The Lord wants us all to have peace. In Luke 24:36, after the resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples and said, “Peace be with you.” The Lord wants each one of us to have peace.
If you do not have peace, give whatever is troubling you to the Lord. That doesn’t mean your problems will go away but maybe the Lord will give us strength to deal with it.
Sometimes, our problems don’t leave us, we just learn how to handle them. The Serenity prayer helps us here; “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”
May the Lord help us experience peace.
