All of us make mistakes. We all sin. And when we do, it can disrupt our fellowship with God. Maybe you have slipped recently and your walk with Jesus isn’t quite as strong as it once was.
Maybe you have missed worship some. Maybe you have stopped reading your Bible or giving to the Lord’s work. And although you would like to get closer to the Lord, deep down, you question if God will forgive you.
In Psalms 80, the Psalmist is crying out to God. Israel had sinned and the Psalmist was asking God to draw them back to God. Three times the Psalmist asks the Lord “O God, restore us, And cause Thy face to shine upon us, and we will be saved” (80:3).
Think about those words… “O God, restore us…. cause Thy face to shine upon us…”
Have you drifted from the Lord? And if you have, do you think you can’t be forgiven? You’re wrong. You can be forgiven.
God will restore you, if you ask Him.
“Well, you don’t know what I’ve done,” you might say.
I don’t and I don’t need to. God will restore you, if you will ask.
It’s up to you… If you will ask the Lord for forgiveness, He will grant it. But you must ask.
God will restore you… God wants to restore you… if you will ask.
