Are you a good waiter? I admit that I’m not. Yet, that’s exactly where the Lord has Holli and me now. We are in a holding pattern…waiting. Waiting for God to show us the next step.
I suspect many people reading this have had to wait at some point in their lives. God doesn’t always move on our schedule. So, we wait.
Why does God make us wait? Well, maybe we aren’t ready for the next step. Maybe God wants to grow us or, grow our faith. So, we wait.
There is one critical aspect of waiting; it is faith. When we wait, we can begin to think God has forgotten us. But He hasn’t. When we don’t see God working we can begin to question if God exists. He does exist but if we can’t see evidence we can lose faith.
The Psalmist said, “Wait patiently for the Lord.” If you are waiting, God hasn’t forgotten you. God knows where you are. We must trust Him.
